Start-up layer Default

I have my default Start-up layer set to Radar + but will always default to weather radar, or satellite.
Any fix for this? Even if it is that the weather radar it will still sometimes default to satellite.

@Erik-Richardson Could you please provide more info about the behavior? What device, setup of the default layer? Screenshots would be perfect.

The behavior is pretty straightforward. Anytime I exit the app or force close the app, when it is reopened, it is not to the default startup layer.
This happens on my iPad Pro, which is on the latest version of software as well as my iPhone 16 Pro Max, which is also up-to-date on the software.
As far as set up of the default behavior, when you go into the settings menu down at the bottom, I choose startup layer and location. it gives the option to choose start up layer. The startup layer seems to always default to satellite even though I have it set to radar+

I am also very interested in a solution for this. My standard start-up layer is rain @ my gps location or my hometown, but several times a week I have to login again and then it is wind @ my IP address. Very annoying and also I have to reset temp. from degF to degC.
Would be nice if you could solve this, it is going on for years. -
@pluk14jort1 Hello, this setting is saved per device, so if you clear cookies, etc. it is possible that you reset the setting to the default one.
