      Offshore fishers look for locations that have sudden changes in temperature or salinity, as that's where two water bodies are meeting and where the fish tend to congregate. These might just be a few degrees, making it hard to pick out on the SST layer with its broad color scheme. Isolines might help, as would a way to set the range for the color band to a smaller range of temperatures, so it'd be easier to pick out the edges.

        You can customize the temperature color scale as explained in this thread to obtain clearly defined increments. I don’t know if you are using °C or °F.

        Or, more simply, you can define temperature isolines in the menu, but by increments of several degrees and probably too smoothed to be accurate.
