Help! Weather Radar for the Philippines is not working. We have an incoming typhoon (Podul), we can't see the incoming southwest monsoon rains.

@vanilla It seems that there's been no radar in PH for quite some time now, first thought it was something to do with the radar outage with China since that's when I noticed there was no radar in PH, but now that WX radar in China is back but PH has not, seems to not be the case.

I too hope the radar returns as I'll be in PH Late August to Mid September and I regularly use it to see if there's incoming/forming Thunderstorms near by my place of resident (P.S I'm someone who absolutely hate Thunderstorms).

I don't think I've seen any radar, outside of Manila. Then, that disappeared, too. But, that was years ago. If you go to PAGASA (it's not an app; it's the Philippine's "area of responsibility" for tropical cyclone development), I've seen radar on there. Good luck.

@vanilla Really worrying timing, hoping the issue gets resolved fast so everyone can monitor the storm properly.

@SRS Nothing is done average, let alone well, in the Philippines. The government never has any idea about what needs to be done, to lift the Philippines out of third world status. And the Filipinos were somehow dumb enough to elect another Marcos, whose family stole many millions from them. These things and many others, leave the Philippines in a sad state of affairs, for the foreseeable future. That is such a sad situation, and the Filipino people are deserving of much better than that.

Oh no, that's terrible timing! I totally understand your frustration. When Hurricane Ida hit my area a couple of years ago, our local radar went down, and it was so stressful not being able to track its progress accurately. Hoping they get it fixed ASAP for you! Stay safe!
