Routing for sailing trips

Can somebody explain in detail how it works. What ever I do, the dot don’t want to move to starting or finishing point, it ends maybe 25% from both. Every thing is sliding around when I move somethingand I don’t have any idea how to get the dot moving from t he beginning to the end, while the screen shows the wind on its current place.

It would be helpful to clarify whether you are using the Route planner in the mobile app or in the browser version. The website and the mobile app don’t work exactly the same way.
I assume you use the mobile version.
