The name Gulf of Mexico goes back to 16th century.
On January 20, 2025, United States president Donald Trump signed an executive order directing U.S. federal agencies to adopt the name Gulf of America for the gulf waters bounded by the U.S.
So, the adoption of the name Gulf of America was given to US federal agencies
and only for the waters bounded by the USA.
The EEZ of USA is not covering the whole Gulf

Windy is a globally used app. Myself I'm from the UK. I can tell you now not a single other country calls it that.
The political bias is solely yours. You're obviously a Trump supporter.
