Setting startup zoom level has no effect when Windy starts.

Android phones, v15 and v16, the startup zoom in settings->startup layer and location -> startup zoom level is saved but has no effect when opening the app. Is there a trick to making this setting work?
My startup is set to weather radar and the local forecast is displayed but the map shows 1000 miles wide area no matter the setting.
Tired of quitting the forecast and zooming to a 50 mile view, and opening the forecast again!

@Suty I have discovered the zoom is ignored when starting from the widget (Temp+ 5 days.) when starting from the app icon, zoom setting is followed. I have launched from the widget for a while.

@StarGazr Yes, that is correct behavior for now. Default zoom level is only for icon app launch.
