The alerts aren't working properly for me.
-
I’ve been using alerts intensively for many days and they’ve worked fine. For the past few days, though, sometimes none show up and sometimes only a few do. The screenshot is just an example—here, some dots trigger an alert and others don’t.
I’ve tried several browsers. There are no connection issues (I’ve tested on both mobile and desktop and my connection is solid). I’ve cleared the cache, tried another computer, rebooted, wait,... etc. Same problem in Android app and in web. (I’m a sysadmin).
Thanks :)

These alerts seem to have the same issue as the one mentioned here.
They are not active and cannot be edited (no pencil icon) or deleted (no trash can).
Could you try adding an alert by clicking the little bell +? -
@idefix37
Adding a new one doesn't change the situation. After adding, there are no options to edit/delete/ see details of alerts. Sometimes they appear, sometimes not. I also tried everything that the colleague mentioned above, but nothing worked so far to see the details of all the alerts I have created.
test when added new alert -
Tested. The issue persists. You can simply change the alert's name. I know about multiple alerts for the same location and I use them. That's not the problem. As the colleague also points out, sometimes it works and other times it doesn't, or a mix—mostly it doesn't work.
Here another example right now.

@travelperk
OK it’s may be the reason. @Suty might confirm. -
@travelperk I think you're right and it might be due to some kind of limitation. I now have exactly 399 alerts. In any case, I've had them for a few months already and this has happened over the last few days (I can't specify how many because I've been busy with other things and haven't used them).
Maybe it's, as you say, a matter of resource allocation. Although those of us who are subscribed can theoretically set up unlimited alerts, I understand there could be a resource limit.
The solution could be a way to "enable/disable" alerts by groups. We already organize groups ourselves by name (I do it this way, with my own codes) and thus be able to have... for example... a maximum of 300 active alerts.
Something ideal would be being able to export/import alerts to Excel or CSV... to be able to share them with people. I have many friends who won't go to work creating alerts for themselves, but they would become subscribers if they could easily have the work I've done, for example.
With that import/export, we could have an easier way for each person to manage which alerts they want active or not.
It's an idea. We keep wearing out the F5 so that, sometimes, some alert shows up ;)

The problem continues the same or worse. is there any progress on solving the problem?
-
A teammate has 30 alarms and the exact same thing happens to him. He recently went premium on my advice, precisely because of the alarm issue.
It’s not a problem with the number of alarms.
Sometimes he sees the edit button and sometimes he sees the alarms with the red line, and many other times he doesn’t.
-
@halig I'm back after holidays, yup, nothing has changed. Looks like we have to wait for the dev team to repair it.
-
Even more. I happened to discover that now some alerts (sometimes, others not) appear in Favorites.
I'm attaching a screenshot from just now. You can see they're Favorites and not alerts by the heart with a flag they recently added. The red arrow shows a favorite that doesn't display an alert (the normal thing).
My friend, who just went premium and has few alerts, tells me he's still having the same problem as us.

-
@idefix37 The problem persists. For me and for other people I know (someone upgraded to premium right before the issue, has very few alarms, and has the same problem).
Please let us know something... any issue with the programming team, why some alarms appear in favorites, why sometimes one alarm shows up and other times none.
When the alarms don’t appear, the red lines and the edit button don’t show either.
-
@halig
You know I’m not in the Windy team and further more I don’t understand your issue.why some alarms appear in favorites, why sometimes one alarm shows up and other times none.
Why should all the Alerts you have set should show up with a bell and red line if the conditions are not met ?
-
@idefix37 I apologize 🙏. I thought you were part of the Windy team and there had been no response to this long-standing issue. I see maybe you're a moderator, perhaps even a volunteer, so my thanks and my apologies again.
Regarding the problem: the bell doesn't appear whether there are conditions or not. More simply: just notice that the "Edit alert" button doesn't appear at many points. That button doesn't show up, nor does the bell, nor the red alert stripes if there were any.
Right now, as example: In this case, in Alerts, there is no way to edit, view, or notify any alert. On some occasions, one is displayed correctly, as I mentioned; it's somewhat random and the vast majority of alarms are not shown (neither alarms, nor edit button, nor anything).

Exactly that. Reason why I already advised you to contact @Suty

OK now I understand.
Personally I have 5 Alerts and all will the bells and the Edit button. So I don’t know why it is not same for you.
If you try clicking on the “bell +” can you add new additional conditions to the alert?
And how many alerts did you set ? -

Yes, but the problem persists. Sometimes they show up and sometimes they don't. I'm attaching a screenshot as an example from right now. It seems that if you haven't seen any alerts for several hours, there's a higher chance of seeing some... others not (no alarms, no edit button,..).
And how many alerts did you set?
I think about 300, but the issue doesn't seem to be that. As I mentioned, a friend who just went premium has few and has the same problem.
Thanks for your attention :)

All the alerts are now working perfectly and can be edited and deleted. So those changes made by the administration seem to have fixed the problem. Much appreciated. I’ll let my friends know—they had also subscribed and were having the same issue.

It also started to work for me properly, thanks :)
