Request to Add KIM (Korean Integrated Model, Korea Meteorological Administration)
-
Hello Windy Team,
First of all, thank you for providing such a wide variety of numerical weather prediction (NWP) models on Windy. Many users, including myself, greatly benefit from the ability to compare different models in one place.
I would like to suggest adding the KIM (Korean Integrated Model) developed by the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA).
KIM is an operational global and regional forecast model.
It has been developed specifically for East Asia and the Western Pacific, offering higher accuracy and resolution for this region.
The model is already used operationally by the KMA for official weather forecasts.
Including KIM in Windy would enhance the diversity of forecast guidance, especially for users in Korea, Japan, China, and surrounding countries. It would also provide valuable reference for global users who want to compare additional high-resolution models.
We kindly ask you to consider integrating KIM into Windy’s model list. Many users in Korea and East Asia would appreciate this addition.
Thank you for your continued effort to make Windy one of the best platforms for weather information.
Best regards,
Kihong Park
