@le-bourhid Right after we receive approval from the provider. For now, we don’t have it yet, but I believe we will. Have a nice weekend, Jari

Thanks @Jari-Sochorová . Since your message, do you have more visibility on an approval date?

Hi @le-bourhid, we still haven't heard back from the provider. I'm trying to contact them once more.

This is strange as this radar data should be provided by Météo France. You already get data from them.

              Hi @idefix37, not exactly.
A while back we got a request from Météo France to stop using this particular data, although it is publicly available at their web (same as on your screenshot). So we did.

As far as I understand, the data come from 3rd party provider and there are some licencing issues. I'm trying to get in touch with said provider since we got the request from MF and stopped using the data (for several months), but so far without any reply.

                Hi,
You are right. The radar is probably the one that belongs to CNES (Centre National d’Etude Spatial). It's an important tool for weather monitoring during Arianne rocket launches. So Météo France does not own the data.

I'm trying to get in touch with people from CNES, that I was pointed to by people from MF.

Hi @le-bourhid, unfortunately, I wasn't able to reach anyone from CNES. I tried many contacts and none of them replied. I'm starting to think they're not replying to me on purpose.
If you have any contact I could try more, I will gladly do so.

Hi @le-bourhid, I was unfortunately also unable to get in contact with anyone from CNES. Thus I can't promise anything regarding the issue.

The images are publicly available on MF web: https://meteofrance.gf/fr/images-radar
So you can use their web directly, although we can't use the data ourselves.

                                        Bonjour,

                                        Hello,

I managed to get in touch by phone with the CNES weather service. They are aware of the situation and informed me that their management has decided to allow Windy to use their radar data again. The situation should be resolved “in the coming months.”

So let’s be patient, and I’ll call them again if I don’t see any progress.

Hi @Thomas-Thomas-6, thank you very much for your dedication and getting in touch with CNES.

I'm a bit confused and saddened with formulation situation should be resolved “in the coming months.”

On our side, everything is ready (as it was before) and all we need is a green light from CNES. That can be (in my humble opinion) resolved in matter of minutes.

I understand. I don't know why it should be taking so much time for them. Maybe administrative decision ?
