      Hello,

We are doing some flight planning for research flights in clouds and for this it is very helpful to use the "Distance and Planning" tool. We are very interested in the "cross section" of clouds, as it allows us to plan where and when we want to fly (see example figure). Regarding this tool, I have two suggestions that would be extremely helpful for us:

      (1) Could the 'cross section' provided under the VFR tab be extended above flight level FL100 to span to e.g. FL330 so the entire troposphere is covered?

      (2) Would it be possible to include a switch between the different models here as well for the cross section?

Please let me know if this functionalities already exist and I just haven't found them yet.

      Cheers and thanks already!

@tcarlsen Hi, thank you for your ideas on how to make Distance and Planning even better. I’ve passed them along to my colleagues. Warm regards,
        Jari
