I appear to be unable to permanently change my selected forecast model
-
So every time I use the app to view the forecast in my current location, it defaults to using the ECMWF forecast model, which is woefully inaccurate for my area. I always end up immediately switching to either the UK model, or far more usually AROME.
Perhaps I am just being dense, but I can't seem to find any way to set the app to simply open directly to AROME.
I like it because, living in Britain, the thing I'm looking out most for is rain, and AROME ( and to an extent UKV) seems to be the best at rain forecasts for my specific home location. If I'm underway (sailing), then it's not so important as then I'm looking at the general overview to get an idea of wind and weather across my journey, but when I'm just sat on my todd I quite like being able to anticipate the rain so I can place out a couple of small bowls and whatnot underneath where I have a couple of porthole leaks.
Yes I know I should just fix them but easier said than done on a wooden boat that expands and shrinks with the heat of the day 😂
If anybody could let me know what I'm missing here that would be wonderful, thanks. Edit: I currently have a very soggy sock for which I expect full compensation 😂😂

See how to select another default model than ECMWF. But there are limitations to this setting.
I’ve heard that some changes will be developed in future to improve the stability of the default model selection.

@idefix37 thank you, I'll give it another go. I'm sure I've had that setting enabled in the past, but the settings menu layout seems to have changed since then so perhaps it got reset in an update. Fingers crossed
