Garmin Edge series (bike computers)

The Windy.com widget for Garmin Watches is great, absolutely love it!
The Garmin Edge series bike computers support widgets as well.
Let me suggest to build it for these, too!
Then, we could have a look at recent weather forecasts and the rain radar mid-ride. Would be awesome! -
Hey guys, Garmin Edge version is out there for testing. We haven't announced it yet, but it is available. We appreciate any feedback, and possible nice reviews. :))
EDIT: Garmin Edge support was officially announced. Now you can add Windy data field to your Edge device.

As a cyclist, I would love to have a forecast and radar on my bike computer as well. However, it really takes time, and creating an app/widget on the Garmin platform is not an easy task due to its limitations.
But we will get there.

@David-Polášek
Cool, good to hear. I understand what you mean, I've developed some data fields for the CIQ some years ago.
Thanks! -
@David-Polášek Live rain radar on Garmin bike computer woud be absolute gamechanger. Please let us know of any develompents in this topic :)
-
Please make this happen

The Garmin Edge series bike computers also support widgets, so I’d like to suggest extending Windy support to these devices as well. Having access to recent weather forecasts and even the rain radar during a ride would be incredibly helpful for cyclists, especially on longer routes.
I often follow weather-dependent cycling and outdoor tools (I also collect related resources at gamehub.onl, and Windy on Garmin Edge would be a fantastic addition to that ecosystem.
Thanks for considering this feature it would be awesome to see it in the future!

@David-Polášek Dear, any news about that?
-
Yes. We put it on the road plan.
- We have just finished the lite version of Garmin widgets + lightning detection
- Currently, we are working on METARs for Garmin devices.**
- Right after, the focus will be on Garmin Edge. :))
-
@David-Polášek Och that's great news! Thanks for the update :)

@David-Polášek That's so great news. I'll test it today as soon as possible and get back to you with feedback.

@David-Polášek Dear, it works even on my old 530 garmin. I'm so happy! On my group ride, I was hailed as a weatherman because I knew it would rain thanks to the radar! :D
-
@Leslaw-Kowalski We need more stories like this! :D Suffering is part of the game!
-
@David-Polášek I successfully added a data field screen on my Garmin Edge 530. Is there an explanation of what each icon means? For example, what the big arrow at the bottom of the screen means, and so on.

Definitely, check out the Garmin article:

@David-Polášek I successfully downloaded windy via Garmin Connect IQ. The Data field on my Garmin Edge 1040 Solar just confuses me. The large round circle with the crosshairs breaks my brain.
If I face the edge device north, the two lines on the outer round circle rings point up (12:00),
If I face the edge device east, the two lines on the outer round circle rings point right (3:00),
If I face the edge device south, the two lines on the outer round circle rings point down (6:00),
If I face the edge device west, the two lines on the outer round circle rings point left (9:00),Please help me understand
