Incorrect labelling of Vernon, British-Columbia radiosonde station
-
Hello,
The radiosonde station in Vernon, British Columbia (WMO station ID 73013) is labelled as San Diego Miramar, Us (see attached images). Can you please correct this? Thank you.

@rene_ser Hello, we checked this sonde and it seems that we get all the data (name included) from the source directly.

@Suty
Strange...Not sure what your source is for this data, but it's incorrect.CWVK is the "stn_id". ECCC's datamart as well as WMO's metadata repository shows 73033 as the WMO station ID - the newer WIGOS ID is 0-124-0-73033.
This is from ECCC's datamart:

@rene_ser Hello Wheats and Suty,
Thank you for your answers. Yes, the rawinsonde data that is plotted for the Vernon station is indeed correct.
The problem that I flagged in my initial message and that is still present today is that the display (label) on the map and on the SKEWT both say that the ''radiosonde measurement is for station San Diego, Miramar, US (73003)'' when it should be ''radiosonde measurement is for station Vernon with proper station ID and date.
Here's a screen capture taken (Oct 3, 12 UTC) that illustrate the problem. The cursor is on the Vernon rawinsonde station, but the label says San Diego. Similarly, the Vernon SKEWT plot is correct, but the label at the top says that it is San Diego.
So my suggestion is simply to replace the incorrect San Diego label by the correct one, Vernon.
Thanks.
