Radar has not been working for Sicily, showing no data
-
That's pretty much right. We are not receiving any data at the moment.

This is how the sea coverage currently looks like on Windy.

There are at least 2 radar feeds from independent sources which have both stopped.I will share this below past image, it shows Windy reading data from 3 radars. A. B and C
Radar B has a limited range, and most of its sweep is over land. The important radars for storms coming from the south are A and C, with A (Sigonella) having a huge swept range. Both of these radars disappeared from Windy at the same time last month! This coincidence suggests that there might be an issue with Windy reading their data, rather than them both deciding to stop serving Windy at the same time.
I had a look at accuweather, and for the same region it is showing individual rain clouds, hope this helps. thanks

AccuWeather radar is not always real radar.
e.g. there's no wx. radar in the middle of the ocean.

Only "radar-like" satellite images. -
yes, on closer inspection I can see accuweather shows simulated radar, not circular radar sweeps.
To compare, the Rainviewer app does show live radar, in the circular swept area
example of Palmas (which has quite a bit of rain clouds in its area)

Rainviewer app, at Valletta there are a few clouds on the radar sweep:

hope this helps, thanks
