iPad app does not save preferences

Why is it that my preferences like the HRRR model and my favorite location have to be reselected when I close and then re-open the app? Isn’t there a way to save my preferences as default? It gets old and annoying. Any fix for this?

Have you saved your location as a favorite?
And have you tried this in Settings?
But your favorite model will revert to the default model if you switch to radar or satellite.
