To provide further details about this missing layer. Radar+ was something like a step between two phases, since it provided new visualization technology for our RadSat layers. Now both layers (Radar and Satellite) are already displayed this way, so we decided to remove Radar+, because all features are displayed in these two.

@awquick I was just about to ask "hey where has Radar+ gone?" then found this exchange. Thank god it's still there, it's my No1 go-to feature on Windy, a lifesaver for commuting by motorcycle

Not an intuitive change, and a major UI update justifies the same announcement made when you installed it.
I checked my login status, premium status, several social media outlets, before coming to support before finding a solution. The new location is essentially hidden and not even remotely intuitive.
Hate the change, and you're going to have a legion of users out there that abandoned trying to figure out where the function went, guys.

So now is Sattelite but you have to check Overlay with radar to have the same view

Good grief. Why not pop up a simple announcement in the app? Or did I miss it? In any case not a step forward and rather a step backward. Radar+ was/is a reason folks subscribe, so why hide it? Guess great app development does not equal good public relations? Or, again, am I missing something?

@bsu4phd same here , been searching everywhere for missing Radar+ but luckily found this thread which answers it.

With the new update, select Satellite and then this option
on my PC i cannot see that box to check due to other overlays from windows there covering it up if it really there.

And if you complain, they'll just tell you that the new thing, whatever they did, is "better."
Arrogant and disrespectful to paying customers.

@Dubblej because it's counterintuitive and was a bad decision on the part of Windy.

The change removes the functionality that we used to have. Now it's impossible to see satellite AND get a spot radar reading of precipitation.
This is because when you're in satellite view, the spot reading shows temperatures of cloud tops (I guess.) If you turn on the radar overlay, it doesn't change the spot reading to show precipitation.
Bad decision. Bad update.

Still waiting for you to restore the original radar+ functionality.Now that it's been moved under satellites, we cannot see the rainfall when we position the aiming point over a spot on the map. Instead it shows us a temperature reading.
I don't want to know the temperature the cloud tops, I want to know the rainfall that is occurring. The same way it used to work with radar!!!
Where can I go to get that old functionality back?
