Delete route without doing it point by point

is it possible to delete a rout completely to start a new one without having to delete each point individually?

Hi,
I guess you are talking about the Route planner with the browser version.
To plot a new route, select "Distance and planning" at the top of the menu, but not in the pop-up window by right-clicking. It displays the last route - this is to avoid losing a current route simply by changing layers -
