      I would like to browse forecasts and satellite images, still having the same area and the same zoom.
      Now, it is very easy to accidentally move an area accidentally with a cursor or enlarge an area using the mouse wheel.
      I think an On/Off switch that disables the operation of moving the map area and enlarging it with the mouse will be good.
      Probably this feature is easy to do, and it will be very usefull in forecasting.

            @Suty Use case: you are going to check forecast in 2-3..5 places that all fits in your current map view. While you switching places it's undesirable to lose your view of the map.

              I use the Windy quite often using the Vivaldi browser and the big 32'' with 4K resolution, which allows me to split the screen and display 2 or 4 Windy pages at the same time.
              I can then compare maps from different terms, or from different models. When operating a route planning tool, I often change an area shift or zoom in on the basis of accidental mouse movement, which makes interpretation difficult due to differences in the displayed areas.
              Locking the screen will eliminate this problem. It would be good for information about the status of the "lock screen" switch to also be included in the page address, as is now the case with the type of map displayed, its position and zoom level.
              If you would be interested, I will also describe an idea for personalizing the selection of defined images by the end user.
              Best regards
              Janek

                @Suty,
                Have you already decided to add the screen locking function, and if so, when can I expect this function to be added to the program?
                Please, forgive my insistence, but you gave me hope for changes that change a lot when working with the Windy.

                    @Suty,
                    Thank you for your message, does this mean that you do not plan to add this feature in the future?

                      @Cirrus If we talk about upcoming months, there is no plan, correct.
