Why did that change? any way to put it back? It was great they sped up and slowed down the movement of the weather so easily why take that away?

@Suty Surprising!!! I find this is a real inconvenience/annoyance on what is otherwise one of the best made UXs existing ! Please bring back the animation speed adjustrment of some kind to the web! I expect MANY people would agree if you asked.
