Our brand-new Windy version 47 is here packed with features that make your forecasts sharper, your maps smarter, and your devices more connected than ever.
With this update, we’ve also merged Radar+ into the Satellite layer.

Find it: In the Layers menu → Air Quality index
What it’s for: Track major pollutants like NO₂, PM2.5, PM10, and O₃. Whether you’re running in the city, planning outdoor work, or just curious about your environment, you can now see how clean the air is around you.- 🌐 CAMS 40 km for global coverage
- 🇪🇺 CAMS 10 km for the EU region

Pollen & Air Quality in Point Forecast
Find it: Open the Point Forecast (click anywhere on the map) → click on Display as: Pollen&AirQ
What it’s for: Get location-specific pollen and pollution levels for the next few days, so allergy sufferers and outdoor adventurers can plan with confidence.🛰️ Satellite History (Premium)
Find it: In the Satellite layer → History slider at the bottom.
Premium users can now scroll back up to 24 hours of satellite imagery (previously 12). Great for tracking storm development, cloud movement, and severe weather.🌦️ Expanded Forecast Models
Find it: Inside Point Forecast → “Forecast models” dropdown.
Compare an even wider selection of forecast models for higher accuracy in your planning.CarPlay Widgets
Stay safe on the road and add Windy as a CarPlay widget to get radar and forecasts right on your display. No phone needed.
📖 Quick manual:
- Update Windy to the latest version and make sure you have iOS 26
- On your iPhone, go to Settings → General → CarPlay.
- Select your car → Customise → Widgets
- Add Windy and choose Radar or Forecast widget.

Great new features, I like the ios 26 CarPlay widget. If there was a way to get a bit closer to the radar area you're travelling through that's be great. At the moment it's an overview of the country from a distance and you can't see incoming rain near you in more detail.

Disappointed that an opportunity has been missed by not introducing 850 HPa theta W fields. There have been multiple posts requesting frontal identification, and I can understand reluctance to marking fronts,(as this is forecaster produced) however as a conservative property, 850 HPa theta W fields are invaluable in identifying airmass boundaries and arguably more relevant than moisture fields currently available..

The new improvements are great. However, the visual interface and graphics are still pretty tragic. It really needs to be reinvented into a smart, slick, crisp and fresh interface, with graphics that are befitting of the 21st century. At the moment, it is difficult and awkward to use and somewhat messy. Then, it would be a classy app. It is still one of the most accurate weather apps out there - it deserves a slick interface with decent graphics!

@Gazbrad I have just a gray map and radar+ thru satellite isn’t working. I feel i wasted $25 I have a new iphone and updated browser and tried the two steps to use the satellite layer but nothing…. VERY frustrating and disappointing.
