Stations Widget - iOS 26 - nearest No Data
-
when using “nearest” for the station widget, it shows “no data”. However using favorites works.

@SAM-JAGE Hello, do you know where should be the nearest station, how far from your location?
-
@Suty less than 1 mile away
-
@SAM-JAGE Hi, can you share the station link to Windy with us?
-
Hello @SAM-JAGE ,
can you please provide us an screenshot of the widget? And also your coordinates (don't have to be exact one) or city name, I will try to simulate your conditions ( it's often connected with location ) -

I'm having the same issue as the OP.
iPhone 16 pro, iOS 26.2, Windy version 47.2.1.
The station I select manually and have marked as a favorite is at N30° 9' 8", W85° 40' 1". I am less than a mile from this station as the crow flies (1.7 km according to Windy). So far as I can tell from the stations that Windy finds, this is the closest to me. I guess I should caveat that with the fact that I've only been looking at professional stations. Perhaps there is an amateur station closer and there is some problem with it causing the widget to display no data when I select nearest, I don't know. [EDIT to add: I went back and looked. I selected sort stations by distance and this is the nearest station, according to Windy.)
I only started using this widget the other day and so do not have long term experience with it. I left the widget set at nearest for a while (an hour or two) thinking maybe it takes time to update. But when I select the station from favorites the data show immediately.
When I have selected nearest, the widget displays in red, with the Windy logo on the upper right, a "globe" type figure with a slash through it at the left in white, and No data to the right of that in white font.
I've tapped on the widget to launch the Windy app and make sure I'm logged in even though it working fine when I select a station from favorites.
I don't know what else to try as far as troubleshooting. I could delete the app and reinstall it, but I don't see the point as the Widget is working when I manually select the station. But any ideas, I'll be happy to try.

@aih
To create the widget of a weather station, select Reported wind or Reported temperature from the menu and click on the desired station on the map.
When displaying the reported values of this station there is a small heart in the upper right corner of the window.
Tap it to add this station to your Favorites.
Then the WX station widget will use it automatically.

@idefix37 I got that. I've set a favorite station. I've created the widget on my iPhone. Once I've done that, I have the option to edit the widget. When I first do that (edit the widget) I have an option to display either "Nearest" or "Favorites" station. If I pick "Favorites" and select station, the widget displays the data as you show in your image. That is not the problem. The problem is if I select "Nearest" the display is No data as I described above.
In short, the issue is as summarized by the OP. The widget is useable. If I select a favorite, the widget works. I'm just confused by the failure of the Nearest function. Or is that not a failure to function as intended?
