      For the last month I have closely followed Windy wind forecast for south East Queensland

      I have used several models

      The pattern is the same in that the Windy forecast of prevailing or sustaining wind is ALWAYS understated and the actual speed is closer to the forecast gust speed
      This makes Windy both unreliable and dangerous

      I have also found this shortcoming has been observed by others

      Are you aware of this and is there a work - around to improve accuracy and give confidence in using Windy??

        Hi,
        Could you tell us what is your location more precisely or show a screenshot?
        Do you compare the forecasts of the different weather models with weather station reports?
