iOS WebGL Error on Radar Overlay

I'm using the Windy app on an iPhone 13 (iOS 18.7.2) and whenever I try to use the weather radar overlay, I get get an failure message that webGL technology has failed. It suggests I update the Windy application (v47.2.1) date 27/10/2025 or my browser Firefox 144.2 (63026) - both as up-to-date as they can be, I think. Still no weather radar. In addition, the colour dispay on the map e.g. for wing seems not to be working.
Any clues?

@grinead It appears to be a regression with iOS 18.7.2 RC. A few of us have provided feedback to Apple but no feedback so far.

This issue has been fixed by Apple in a new build of iOS 18.7.2 (22H124) which has been publicly released

Which build of iOS 18.7.2? Check in Settings / General / About / iOS Version. Should be 22H124 - otherwise you need to update

@dugeem Hello, we are checking the situation with iOS, since there has been a certain issue in iOS 18.7.2, which causes this error in Windy.

@Patrick-Weir-2 Hello, can you please check what version of iOS you have installed? We tested the behavior and production release of iOS 18.7.2 works correctly, however, the same version in previous BETA version did not work.

@Suty The iOS version alone is not enough information ... the release build number 22Hxxx is important:
- iOS 18.7.1 & earlier - Windy app works as expected
- iOS 18.7.2 RC (22H123) - Windy app not working (WebGL errors)
- iOS 18.7.2 (22H124) - Windy app works as expected
Build number can be found in Settings / General / About / iOS Version
Lastly, for those on the iOS 18 Public Beta release train, you need to reset the Beta Updates to Off (under Settings / General / Software Update) for the corrected 18.7.2 (22H124) update to become visible.
