Wind speeds less accurate than before

I’ve been using this app (premium) for years, always had excellent accuracy for wind speeds and direction. Since recent updates, I’m noticing the accuracy on wind speeds has decreased significantly. Major differences between what the wind speed actually is and what the app shows. Are you all using new algorithms or other new programming features that might account for this?

The predictability of parameters like wind is not constant over the year. But I don't know if that explains the differences you're observing. In any case, to my knowledge, Windy uses data directly from weather models and not the results of special algorithms.
By selecting weather stations, you can compare Observation vs forecast and thus assess the predictions of different models in your area.

@Heather-Davis I think part of the problem is the models don't update as fast as there supposed too
