select a favorite without the forecast opening at the bottom

Each time I click on any of my favorites, the forecast for this locations appears in the bottom of my screen. Well, this is fine, sometimes.
...but if I wish to see the full area or the units/color/value-scale (no clue how to call that) for the active layer (for waves the height, for wind the color scheme for the windspeed...) it is covered by the forecast.
When I close the forecast, the dot for the selected location (favorite) disappears as well.
This is very inconvenient as I need this mark/dot (on the ocean, without much of reference points around) to follow the individual values there for waves, winds, clouds...Thanks for any help, I wish that I find what I pay for.

To keep your favorite visible after closing the detailed forecast, you need first to select “My favorites” in the menu (or in the bottom right corner of screen in the browser version) to show and keep them on the map.
