Hi, I’m really loving the windy app and I think the developers are doing a fantastic job! I would really love to see max wave height added (Swell Height + wind wave height) the same a BOM has but also have the option added to the alerts.

      Cheers!!

Swell Height + wind wave height= significant wave height.
        Max. Wave is something different.
Usually it is a single large wave, estimated as 1.8 to 2 times the significant height.

It is important to note that the probability of meeting these max waves is much lower than that of waves at significant height (SWH).

          • Bureau of Meteorology consider that the max waves (2 x SWH) may be met 3 or 4 times per day.

          • Météo France forecast 1 max wave (1.8 x SWH) per 6 hours.
