@Jacob-Novick Agreed. A toggle to turn them off or an intensity slider would be welcome. The snow interferes with assessing the radar image.

Also, it's supposed to be snowing for half an hour, but not a flake in sight.

Is this this a radar calibration issue?

Please could you say where you observe this incorrect calibration?

@TheRadarGuy I find the type of precipitation in the radar very useful. i find the discussion about this annoying

I found the old weather rada would show the intensity of rain more accurately.

This new visualisation showed light rain which was in fact medium rain and I got very wet!

The old visualisation you could see the difference between light and medium rain more easily too,.now it's more blended (it might be more realistic this way but harder to find a clear weather window this way).

Might be worth looking into this as it's definitely considerably less useful now sadly ...

Weather radar has lost most of its usefulness as the only thing visible is the place names and any rain. Now you have to start cycling through the other views to get temp, wind, rain, and weather all in the one place! Pretty pointless, as it has become the same TEDIOUS search for weather info that we left the other apps/websites for! Living in a fire-prone area I do not have the luxury of leasurely clicking on buttons on a screen. I NEED the information at my fingertips ALL AT ONCE...

It’s quite easy to select the Weather radar layer and at a location the weather forecast.

@Ortlepp-Enrico That there is a discussion about this is because not everybody shares your opinion. You may like it, others don't, hence the discussion. As long as you don't object to people voicing an opinion contrary to yours, I cannot see why that should annoy you.
