Hi @HardikP, I checked the weather warning status on our side and it looks like the official weather warning feed on IMD site (https://cap-sources.s3.amazonaws.com/in-imd-en/rss.xml), linked from https://mausam.imd.gov.in (as Latest CAP Alerts at the bottom of the page) is empty.

This is most likely the reason we're not displaying anything.

I did check the links. The data there is not in machine-friendly format and doesn't contain much information. There is no way to extract some meaningful warnings from there.

Hi @HardikP, yes, that is source that we're aware of.
We're currently in process of adopting weather warnings from meteoblue (status of their weather warning can be observed here, status of their feeds here).
Our weather warning processing will be replaced in the near future (possibly months) with theirs.

Hi @HardikP, warnings from NDMA are part of meteoblue suite of warnings and thus will be part of ours as well, in the near future.

I don't know if this could be a good idea because metroblue keep compressing all the warnings into one place

For reference this is how should the map should look
But meteoblue is showing all of them in an single place
This could be a bad idea there could be a issue in
Meteoblue system that could be fixed later
I advise try to wait untill meteoblue fix the issue how you can try do contact them about it

As far as I know, this is because NDMA doesn't use lat/lon polygons for specifying the are, but LGD District Code, which is currently not supported by meteoblue.

See content of NDMA's feed: https://sachet.ndma.gov.in/cap_public_website/rss/rss_india.xml

@Filip_K you are right ndma issue district wise warnings what now if we found out the source
Can't you integrated the ndma warning without meteoblue and also ndma sachet website is computer machine friendly as far as I know I am just saying
I am not trying to be rude or demanding I advise the use the ndma website directly with meteoblue

I tried to find polygons for the LGD disctrict codes (so they can be properly displayed on the map) but I wasn't able to. Do you know of any source that would give us code -> polygon mapping?

@Filip_K There isn’t one official website that directly gives you “LGD district code → polygon boundary” in a single download. The LGD portal gives you the district codes in CSV format, but no map shapes. On the other hand, sites like GADM, Census India shapefiles, or OpenStreetMap give you the actual district boundary polygons, but they don’t include LGD codes. So the practical solution is to download the LGD district code list, download the district boundary shapefile (from GADM or Census), and then match them together using district and state names in a GIS tool or with something like GeoPandas. Once merged, you’ll have a proper LGD code-to-polygon mapping that can be displayed correctly on the map. It’s not one-click simple, but it’s completely doable.
