weather radar in Indonesia

Hi,
Since around January 4, 2026, weather radar data covering Indonesia has been unavailable.
We really need it, especially after the cyclone in Sumatra.
Previously, I recommended some friends to try using windy.com. They also asked the same question. We are disappointed that weather radar for Indonesia cannot be displayed.

@Alex-Dialfonso Hello, we usually stop receiving data from the source, so we cannot display anything then. If you know any reliable source of data for this region, I would be glad to share it with our colleagues.

Hi @Alex-Dialfonso, indeed, data for Indonesia have been unavailable from around 2026-01-03 11:00 UTC until today (2026-01-05) around 05:00 UTC. The data became available and came back online without any intervention from our side, so my guess is that the data was not available at the source (Indonesian BMKG).

The service provider transmits data, but it's not shown in the program. There's lightning, but the main display of moving rain clouds isn't.

I tried accessing the radar data through BMKG's mobile app (available for android here) and I get no data either. Does it work for you?

@ирек-сафин you previously showed screenshot from BMKG's app. Is the radar data still available for you? Through the app?

Yes, the radar data is still available. Plus, after the update, the program stopped detecting my location.

Hi @Ирек-Сафин, thank you for confirmation. Currently it seems that, the app work only from Indonesia. I'm in contact with BMKG and I hope to get access to the data. It seems to be commercially available (according to BMKG's catalog), but the price is unbearably high.
