      I've hit this thread, but seem there is not answer, and today, when frezing it's kind of non-intuitive as peaks are not related to colder, nor warmer and even colurs doesn't say too much. What is the purple colour for ECMWF and Aladin? What color shade and higher / lower chart means? Why ECMWF + Aladin do have different color?

        Hi,

        The color scheme corresponds to the temperature. ECMWF and ALADIN are forcasting -19c while the others are -3c

          @WeatherMan10 Oh, so it's because of the extreme wide of temperature for whole forecast... That's why those short terms do no have purple at all as it it's quite narrow there... is it so? Beacause today even GFS founds this extreme as well... now it makes more sense, when even GFS went "purple".
