Re: Keep pressure isolines when showing satellite or other isolines
I’d rather have a switch to keep isolines permanent that can easily be switched off when you don’t want them.
      Possible?
I have to switch them on every time I use windy.

@thorpey-0 Hello, what layer in Windy do you use as a default one? We automatically turn isolines off in radar and satellite layers, so it is not possible to have them as a default setup with one of these layers.

@thorpey-0 strongly support. Have asked for this before, but there seems to be a technical reason that this is difficult to implement. Would be good to have these laid out, if indeed it's not an option

@Suty why are they 'automatically' turned off in these modes? It should be possible to make this optional for individual users?

@afurley Hello, this is set on our end. We don't want to offer real-time data (RadSat) with forecasted data (isolines).

@Suty Yet you superimposed a precipitation type layer on the radar, which is obviously not real time?

The other day, out of idle curiosity, I checked a bunch of webcams at locations where Windy radar claimed it was snowing. Cams at higher altitude indeed showed snow, everywhere else it was raining. Rain, not sleet. So not only is the overlay not real time, it's not very accurate either (based on anecdotal observations, I know).

I'm very pleased to learn that this snowflake overlay will be made optional. The sooner the better. Thank you for listening to your users.
