Snow depth and new snow layers

i don't know how the new snow and snow depth layers work, but they don't..... or at least not very well.
i just looked at the snow depth layer for where i live at it says only 2" and new snow only 0.1" which is not correct! yesterday i got over 12" of snow

Could you say what is your location and which weather model you use for New snow and Snow depth? -

The model choice is important because they don’t have the same resolution. And don’t provide the same forecast.
However, all three models providing Snow depth data for your location show a low depth. So you are right.
Concerning New snow, it’s not possible to check what was the forecast yesterday.
But the amount of snow forecast was probably underestimated. -
