Incorrect borders and naming of Ukrainian territories (Crimea)
-
I have been using Windy.com for years and am truly grateful for your excellent service and high-quality weather data. I'm writing to express my concern regarding the display of the Crimean peninsula on your maps. Currently, Crimea is incorrectly shown as part of Russia, and many cities in the region are displayed with Russian names instead of their official Ukrainian names.
According to international law and UN resolutions, Crimea is an integral part of Ukraine. As a global service based in the EU, it is crucial that Windy reflects internationally recognized borders.
I kindly request you update your map layers to show Crimea as Ukrainian territory. Use official Ukrainian toponyms for cities in Crimea in accordance with international standards.
Accurate mapping is essential for your users and for maintaining professional integrity.

@Bodya-Bur Hello, this full line is a bug. We are working on the fix and it should be marked as the rest of disputed borders.
Regarding to those names, we will check the situation. Right now, we take data from OpenStreetMap, where can be also some conflicts between users, since it is open-source platform.
