Gray map only
-
Hello,
I've upgraded my MacBook Pro from Monterey to Sequoia 17.5.3. Windy is not working anymore in Safari 26.2. It only shows a gray geographic map but no wind, satellite, etc...
The javascript console is filled with WebGL: context lost. and TileRenderer"Compile shader error"
windy.com/debug says :

}I upgraded because many websites were too "modern" for the Monterey version of Safari, but Windy beeing my homepage, I feel stupid now...
Btw, Windy works in Firefox. But I don't like firefox.
Is there anyting I can do ?

@evotl Hello, could you please check if the webGL works in the browser?
-
@Suty Hi Suty
No, I've discovered that Safari "in my configuration" doesn't execute webgl. I've tried on get.webgl.org and I don't see the spinning cube...It's a known problem when upgrading with opencore legacy patcher.
I've read that Apple doesn't validate the webgl execution in Safari for unsupported computers, even with a recent, fully working Safari.Just another brick for planned obsolescence...

@evotl Unfortunately, we cannot help much with this from our end.
