Problematic Sounding Temperatures
-
Hi,
I’ve noticed an error with the sounding temperatures over Canada since yesterday. I did not test the entire country, but I checked a few sites, including Moncton, New Brunswick. The sounding temperatures from all models do not match the soundings provided by other websites such as WeatherBell or Pivotal Weather. Both of those sites report the same vertical profiles and align more closely with observed precipitation types than the Windy profiles.
For example, for the ECMWF model at 12Z over Moncton (CYQM airport station), WeatherBell and Pivotal show a minimum temperature of –10°C in the saturated layer, while Windy reports –8°C.
I remain available for any further information you may need. -
Are you able to screenshot the sounding graphs from and windy and the other ones from the other websites you reference?

@WeatherMan10 For sure! I don't have examples from yesterday, but this is from this morning
