why is there bad resulution i northen of sweden

-
@Christer-Johansson-2 Hello, what exactly do you mean in the screenshot?
-
@Christer-Johansson-2
Satellite data is provided by geostationary satellites which are in the plane of the equator. They catch this type of picture.
And consequently they cannot catch correct images over the polar regions.
In north of Sweden, the image quality is not very good and even worse further beyond 75°N latitude. Moreover, the Mercator projection increases the poor image quality in the polar regions.
-
@Suty I mean that the resolution of the cloud data has deteriorated, partly so you don't see cloud patterns like you did before, and then it feels like some weather layer has been pasted in so it's not animated.
-
it was better resulotion in the past sommer
-
@Christer-Johansson-2
In summer the sun shines brightly on the northern polar regions, which is definitely not the case in winter. -
@idefix37 ok
but what is no data in my screenshot

-
This “no data” marking is due to missing radar data by the radar data provider. It is not about satellite data.
