Switching between Weather Stations and Forecast
-
I find it a bit annoying that after clicking onto a weather station I have to click and hold the home button to return to the forecast or even more annoying if I'm on a separate location from my current location. Then I have to find where the was last point that I was on is. I feel like the Weather Stations should act more like a popup where I can switch between the different weather stations and air quality monitors based off the location I have the forecast for. Then I can just click the X and return directly to the forecast.
Instead of making another post, I'll just include this other request here. I'd also like an easier way to switch between the short and extended forecasts. I feel like there should be a button always visible to toggle that. It's a little annoying to have to scroll all the way to the last day to find the button. Especially since it HAS to be as scroll instead of a quick jump. It seems like this should be a one click thing not a scroll or multiple click feature.

Concerning your second point, like so many users you don’t say whether you are using the browser version or the mobile app. So I imagine you are using the browser version. You can click on this button to switch to the second week of the forecast.

@idefix37 Sorry I didn't mention it. I was more specifically talking about the mobile version, however, the point applies to both. It really just comes down to screen size not which version you're using. The button you screenshotted is the only button that exists for toggling between the forecast lengths, so obviously I know that's the button to click. My point is that it is not always visible. On my 4k monitor there isn't an issue because there's enough screen space that it is always visible. However, on smaller screens or on the mobile app it is not. So for an example, let's say on mobile I click the 15 day forecast. Now I close the app. When I open it up again later on it will remain on the 15 day forecast. But now I want to see only the 7 day forecast. I need to scroll all the way to the end, to the 15th day, to click the same button to switch it. I feel like from a user experience perspective, it would make more sense that that button is always visible. That I should not have to scroll at all to switch between the forecast lengths. This nuisance obviously isn't the biggest deal, but I frequently switch between the forecast length and current functionality is indeed annoying.
For my first point, it applies to both pretty much equally. And between the two requests, it is by far more annoying the way it works.

If you had specified that you were using the mobile version, I would have told you that you can then use the small red slider to choose the days you want.

@idefix37 I think you're not quite understanding what I am requesting. The button you took a screenshot of, the "15 days forecast" button. It can be both 15 days or 7 days and changes depending on what you are currently viewing. I think it makes a lot of sense for that button to be visible at all times, not just located to the right side of the last date.
To give an example based on the screenshot you just posted. Let's say I just opened up the app, so the red slider is shown on Sun 8. I'm not interested at the moment in viewing the 15 days forecast and would like to switch to 7 days forecast. I now have to scroll all the way to Sun 22 to find the red button that now says "7 days forecast". What I am requesting is that "7 days button" be located on the screen at all times. Perhaps in the red menu bar at the bottom of the screen, maybe within that menu after you open it, or perhaps somewhere else. But the point is, that button be available to click without scrolling to the end of the days. It's a little tedious scolling over whether you click and drag or just click Sun 22. If you click Sun 22 it doesn't jump there, it's slowly scrolls over with no ability to stop the scroll either.
Like I said before, this isn't the biggest deal, but from a user experience perspective, it's definitely a shortfall. This may not even be a feature that many people notice, but I've worked in the user experience world so little things like this may bug me a little more than the average user. I also use the app quite frequently as my current profession as well as outdoor hobbies are greatly affected by weather. So I frequently switch between 7 days and 15 days while I'm planning out the coming week(s).
All that said, I hope that this discussion on my second request doesn't detract attention from my main request with the original post. I feel that is substantially more important than the length of forecast button. Clicking into a weather station then having no way to directly return to the forecast is a very frustrating experience.
