        Hi,
In mountainous areas you should use high resolution models for parameters which are related to near surface temperature. Unfortunately these models are not available everywhere. Therefore it is not a bug as you suggest.

        This requires improvement.

Windy cannot do any change to the weather models. They are managed by major weather centers like ECMWF, NOAA, DWD…

You can understand that with a 10 km resolution, meaning on a 10x10km grid, a medium-resolution global model cannot accurately "see" the terrain in mountainous areas. In some countries, where available, Windy offers models with a 1 or 2km resolution, providing much better granularity in snow/rain forecasts.

At a location, in the detailed forecast panel, you could use the Meteoblue model. This weather model is only available for precise location, not as a map. However, it is based on actual altitude and not approximate orography, which allows it to provide more accurate rain and snow forecasts for a given location.

Only the developers can answer your question. But it seems to me difficult to apply Meteoblue data to a map because it's a non-gridded model.

I would also add that my answer was focusing rain/snow forecasts from weather models, because you did not specify that you were referring to the Radar layer.
