Because right now I only see the wind and to see the wave I have to select the appropriate icon for the wave and when I click on that then the wind icon is not selected and I can't see both the wind and the wave at the same time. Is there a way to see both at the same time? If so, how?</p>

I imagine you know how to display the detailed forecast at a location.<br />
At bottom of this table, select “Waves &amp; tides” instead of “Basic”.</p>

This is not possible. As both of these layers are covering the whole screen, the layer below would be completely masked by the one above.<br />
You can see wind and wave forecast at a location at sea in the detailed Wave&amp;tide table.</p>
