      Hi Windy Team,
I am using Windy regularly as a Premium User. Most of the time I need it to check if I can do a certain flight-route by using a small Airplane lke Cessna etc.

For Aviation there are many sources available like DWD-GAFOR (General Aviatio Forecast). GAFOR is important and widely used in general Aviation and you have to learn it for your Flight license test. This service allows a kind of Fly/not Fly decision for certain areas for the next 6 hours and is continously updated. The GAFOR color pattern looks like that:

      Source: https://www.dwd.de/DE/fachnutzer/luftfahrt/teaser/luftsportberichte/fbeu40_edzf_node.html

Based on visibility on the ground (x-Axis) and cloud base (y-Axis) there is a color pattern which indicates the flight conditions. This is the summarized in a map for Germany which looks like that:
      2b469e5a-1096-40e2-bb40-d4976a694b35-grafik.png

As Windy has all these informations available in different layers I would like to ask, if such a layer could be added in the Windy - "Clouds, aviation" layers-section.

This would make it easy for pilots to get a first glance about the conditions as everybody knows the GAFOR Color Scheme.

Thanks for your excellent work on Windy! Keep it up as you help a lot.

      Andreas Wüst

@andreas_windy-0 Hello, right now there is no plan to offer this layer. I am sorry about that.
