@msqrd66
If you prefer the Waves forecast from the NOAA, you should select the GFS WAVE model which is available in Windy. -
The user is complaining that the app’s wave height data is inaccurate during rough weather compared to actual sea conditions. They are frustrated and say they will delete the app and return to using NOAA for forecasts.

Today, Sunday, March 8, the weather in the central maryland area says at 4pm it was going to be winds 12 gusting to 28. The winds could not be more calm. I called Martin State Airport Weather advisory for pilots (which I am) and they were calling 7mph. This is REALLY WRONG. And it was the forecast for times within the next hour or two. If you can't get that right, I need to look for a new app.

Why don't you try and find the weather station for the airport and then click 'Observation vs Forcast' to find the best model for your location.
Yesterday at 4pm, the airport recorded 4mph. You can look along the list to see which one was the closest at that time.

Scroll along a little further and it gives you the average error for the model for the last 5 days so you can compare which one over the last 5 days is more accurate
