Meteoblue Missing Wind For Home
-
I wonder why MBLUE isn’t showing wind this week for my home location but is for my city? The pictures are representative of the whole week.

-
If I pick cities it’s okay but if I use the crosshairs the wind disappears.
-
@jasons47 Hello, what exactly is wrong in these pictures, what are you missing?
-
@Suty The wind is much less is the second one versus the first one even though they’re basically the same location. This is representative of the week.

See what I mean?
-
@jasons47 Okay, I will check the situation with the team.
-
Yesterday the wind disappeared any time I used th crosshairs but now it’s only when I use the home button. Strange.
-
Here’s another way to see it. Notice how there is plenty of wind shown graphically on the map but not on daily or weekly representation.

@jasons47
The discrepancy between the map and the detailed forecast table is normal when talking about Meteoblue.
Meteoblue is a non-gridded model, which means that it cannot be used to draw a weather map. It can only be used at a your chosen location. The wind map is likely based on Windy default model, namely the ECMWF. Therefore, the wind speeds displayed in the table and on the map are not matching when Meteoblue is selected. Then concerning your first posts in this thread, which were not really clear to me, I should add that on seashore or lakeshore, Meteoblue displays weaker winds because with other models at same location the parameter is interpolated between 4 grid points which some may be over the water, so predicting stronger winds.

@Suty Thank you. I use MBLUE regularly as I find it in the top two accuracy-wise and this is definitely new behaviour.

One last further screenshot to show the problem persisting with the wind bar completely blank…

Fixed! Thank you
