Wind Speed?

I am hoping someone can help a noob gain some insight into what he is viewing. When I look at a system such as Irma why does the wind speed on Windy.com not match what is being forecasted by NOAA? I'm sure there is a not some simple answer :-)

@dhbennett The information you see are forecasts and are limited in their precision (see this post for more info on that). NOAA most likely gives information based on real-time measuring (not forecast) which is very accurate. Can you please provide a link where NOAA publish the information ? We would definitely like to check that as well !
