Why are you actively blocking the ability to install the iPad app version on MacOS?
-
I have an old version of Windy still on my Mac and it works pretty well but obviously I can't really use it since I can't login.
The app is available and maintained on iPad. Normally on any newer M1 and later M Macs you can install iPad versions of apps. When I search for windy it doesn't even show up under the iPad/iPhone section on my Mac like almost every other app so the developers must be actively blocking this forcing me to go through Safari, with is awkward. Why do you do this?
I want a dedicated app on MacOS. -
@Tody_too Hi, we stopped supporting this option, since we use a different UI for mobile devices, than the one for desktop. This iPad app on Mac than caused some bugs there, so we decided to offer only one version for laptops in general, the one in the browser.
However, you can save the URL into the dock on Mac and then you basically access Windy.com via browser but without any browser elements, such as URL bar, etc.

@Suty Thank you for the reply. This option works really well for me. Thank you for the suggestion.
