Severe Tropical Cyclone Narelle

As STC Narelle is heading down the west coast of Western Australia I spotted a cool vortice on the north-northeast side of Narelle's eye on the satellite imagery. Have a look at the below image snapped at 2:30pm WST.
Are there any meteorologists out there that can shed some light on this? Is it just part of the eye? Or is it a secondary feature??
