Tidal currents, no arrows
-
Looking at tidal currents. Initially the direction arrows showed for a second but then disappeared
 tried to insert a screenshot but not obvious how.... -
@Colin-Stroud
To add a screenshot to your message
If you enable Particle animation the “arrows” of Current should stay visible.
-
Also, if I go to wind View, no arrows there either
-
@Colin-Stroud
In the mobile app, the setting is in the menu. -
I can't see anywhere in the setting where I can turn on the tidal current and wind direction arrows. They have works before.
-
@Colin-Stroud
You probably did read the last sentence in my post here above.
I said
“If you enable Particle animation, the “arrows” of Current should stay visible.” -
I already have particals animation turned on, but no arrows
-
Now I have some animation but instead of arrows I am getting wavy lines in the wring direction. Something is wrong
-
@Colin-Stroud
This is a bug that should be fixed if @suty confirms.
Currents have never been displayed by arrows, but but “animated particles”. -

@Colin-Stroud
See this post about this issue -
@idefix37 I do not understand, I want to see wind direction and tidal current direction, you told me to turn on Partical Animation, which was already on, but still can't see direction
-
Please let me know when thebug is fixed. Thanks
-
@Colin-Stroud
Because you have a bug on device. Did you read the thread I joined to my post?
In Windy the direction of wind or currents are shown by these animated particles not by arrows.
Only @suty can say when it will be fixed. I’m not in the Windy staff.
-
@idefix37 sorry but I thought I was reporting a problem to Windy! Thank you for your help but I am now frustrated and need to find the correct way to report a problem.
-
@Colin-Stroud
You are reporting the problem to Windy here! There is no other way to report a problem than here.
If you have already read this thread I mentioned in one of my post, you should have seen that Windy is aware of this issue and is working on a solution.
Be patient. -
@Colin-Stroud @idefix37 I am sorry about the delay with my response. We are aware of this bug and it should be fixed in our upcoming update of our app (version 50).
This issue with straight movement of particles is relevant only to small group of devices, where a bit specific GPU was used. However, our colleagues already found the solution.
