Slow Performance on Cloud Layer, huge delay in loading

Cloud layer has a massive delay in loading images making the app almost unuseable. Tried different wifi networks and 5G all the about same very laggy, it started happening about week or two ago. Tried to reinstall app, clear cache, and data but problem persists. Samsung S25.
Have resorted to using the web version which is fine apart from the annoying download app notification.

@Suty It was downloaded from playstore when I reinstalled it yesterday. It may have updated again today as just seen a mesage regarding new version and features, but cloud layers seem to be back to normal at the moment. now on 49.1.1

Still really slow again this morning after the app needs to cache the layers again. Is there a way you can get the app to pre cache? its really annoying and like treacle I can hardly use it. Never used to be like this. The iso bars and wind layers move then I wait about 10 seconds or more every time I move the time line forwards whilst it caches the cloud layer in. seems to be the same for all weather models. happening on both app and web now on phone, but app is worse. have the spinning grey circle on the bottom left whilst it loads the cloud layer in. No one else seeing this?
My connection is really fast, same on wifi or 5g. app reloaded etc. This is the only problem app.

@dwaterh Hello, do you talk about the satellite/radar layers or do you specifically mean the wind layer? This is really strange, however, we are planning some changes in the next version, which should in general improve the loading.
