To have your preferred model at start-up, in Settings select *
“Use last overlay”* when this model is selected.

But if you leave Windy with another model, with Radar or Satellite, this setting will be lost.

            Thank you for your Update!
Regarding that, I would kindly like to ask for an Option to save the model even while using the satellite or radar layers.
What do you think? May this be possible?

You can use the Radar and the Satellite layer, but you just need to leave the app with a layer using your preferred model. At next start-up, you’ll open the app with the same layer and this model.

I'm sorry, but normally I'm using Windy for weather forecasts for the location I am at or the satellite or radar layer.
So your suggested way wouldn't improve my user experience... either I have to change the model to have a more specific forecast (Icon-D2 for Germany) or to switch back to a layer except to two ones I always use before leaving the app.

Perhaps it's possible to implement an option to save the model the forecast which is shown after tapping the home button.

Thanks a lot for your help and the discussion :-)

This is available in German language

                    Is the translation incorrect?
