I am about to sail into the south Pacific, and I updated Windy, and now the Find My Location arrow is gone and I can’t see my location on the map. This is critical when you are on the open ocean!! How can I get forecasts if it doesn’t know where I am?? Please help, leaving tomorrow! Location works fine in other apps and in this one before this latest update. IPad OS 26.3.

        I agree with you !

When you are offline, how do you get Windy at sea?
Do you have a broadband connection to access Windy during a long passage?
In the Windy menu, you have access to plugins. One of them is ‘Ship Position’ . It allows you to use the boat positioning system within Windy. But I don't know if that's possible for you.

As a workaround on the browser version, if you select the Radar layer, you are getting a blue dot at your position.
Then you can change the layer for Wind or for any other layer. The blue dot becomes a white dot.
It is what I get on iPad.
On the mobile app that you can use with your iPad, you get your position when you long tap the home button (the small house icon)
