My normal display on a 12.9" iPad Pro (M1) is Satellite with Radar, Location, and isobar overlays, usually zoomed-out to see longer-term patterns:

At random times, however, when it refreshes to the next time step, I can get almost any screen, most often Wind, with none of the three overlays. Or maybe some overlays, but not all, sometimes whole screen or only partial....

The most bizarre instances are when Windy (or iPadOS or the tooth fairy) loses track of the fact that the screen is LOCKED in landscape and defaults(?) to portrait:

If you can imagine a combo of displays, I have probably gotten it, though I do not have screenshots of most of the variants... merely enough to remind me of the annoyance. This has been going on for several MONTHS, despite keeping both iPadOS and Windy completely up-to-date. No responses to any of the in-app bug reports I've sent, so I turn here in desperation.

@otinokyad Unfortunately, this issue with display appearing in the vertical mode, despite the landscape, is a bug of Safari and the iPadOS and we cannot do much with this without breaking the UI of the rest of all mobile devices. Also according to our info, this is related only to iPad PRO version.

I am sorry about this situation.

@Suty Thanks for the clarification. I can confirm iPadPro only. None of these things happen on my iPhone (or iMac for that matter).

@suty Just noticed the bug post immediately prior to mine also has the disappearing isobars! https://community.windy.com/topic/44119/loosing-lat-long-grid-and-pressure-isobars

Maybe a more prevalent issue than either of us realized.
